The Supervision of International Relations Office of Horus University - Egypt (IRO - HUE)

The International Relations Office is an office affiliated to the President of the University that includes many units that implement and coordinate various activities within the office. It is headed by Prof. Dr. El Said Abd El Hady, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahar El-Sayed El-Sayed Abd El Rahman, followed by a group of coordinators of the various units of the office.

IRO Mission

Horus University – Egypt issues a prominent place locally, regionally and internationally in the field of higher education and scientific research.

IRO Vison

Establishing a wide network of regional and international partnerships and exchanging experiences and knowledge in the fields of research, education and innovation with educational, regional and global entities and providing training and learning opportunities abroad, the office also aims to promote cultural exchange between the student, the international community, enhance awareness of the importance of international cooperation, mutual understanding, build bridges of cooperation and communication between the university and the outside world to promote academic, cultural and social development.

IRO Goals

There are many different tasks that can be adopted by the Office of International Relations at the university, which are as follows:

1- Coordinate and manage all international activities and initiatives of the university including student exchange programs, international students and academic cooperation.
2- Dealing with external communications of the university in the form of joint memorandums of cooperation, mutual scientific agreements, joint educational programs to grant degrees at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
3- Managing relations with external parties, such as embassies, international organizations such as DAAD, Erasmus Plus, Fulbright, Newton Mosharraf, and other academic institutions to achieve the highest benefit in the field of building the university’s capacity and applying for international student and research grants.
4- Developing and implement the university’s international strategies, including marketing for undergraduate and graduate international academic programs such as scientific conferences, seminars and joint workshops.
5- Developing and managing international partnerships and agreements with universities and other institutions around the world, including protocols for establishing joint international degrees, cooperation protocol with community bodies to create training and job opportunities for university students and graduates such as Apple, Mercedes and pharmaceutical companies.
6- Preparing international contracts and dealing with the coordination aspects related to international programs and projects of the university, organizing and coordinating international student programs, student exchanges, academic fellowships and international workshops. Developing and funding research and community projects in areas related to international relations.
